Fingering weight yarn – approximately 25 g

30 stitches and 40 rows = 4 inches

Instructions
Cuff
CO 79 (87, 95) stitches. Distribute over 3 needles and join round.
Round 1: *K1, slip one CO stitch off needle*; repeat ** to last stitch, K1 (40 (44, 48) stitches)
Rounds 2 – 4: *K2, P2*; repeat ** to end of round
Round 5: *YO, sl 1 K2 tog psso, YO, K1*; repeat ** to end of round
Rounds 6 – 15: Knit
Heel Flap
The heel flap is worked over 20 (22, 24) stitches. You will be slipping the knit stitches and purling the purl stitches.
Row 1: K1, *P1, sl1k WYIB*; repeat ** to last stitch, P1
Rows 2 – 16 (18, 20): *sl1k WYIB, P1*; repeat ** to end
Row 17 (19, 21): Knit
Turn Heel
Row 1 (WS): sl1p, P 13 (14, 15), p2tog, turn
Row 2 (RS): sl1k, K 8, k2tog tbl, turn
Row 3 (WS): sl1p, P8, p2tog, turn
Repeat rows 2 & 3 until there are 10 (12, 14) stitches left on needle – ending row 2 and knitting last 0 (1, 2) stitches to end of row.
Gusset
Pick up and knit 11 (12, 13) stitches along heel flap (needle 1). Continue across 20 (22, 24) stitches (needle 2 – top of foot stitches), pick up and knit 11 (12, 13) stitches along heel flap (needle 3). Knit 5 (6, 7) stitches from needle 1 onto needle 3. You will now have 16 (18, 20) stitches on needles 1 & 3 and 20 (22, 24) stitches on needle 2.
Round 1: Knit
Round 2: needle 1: Knit to last 3 stitches; k2tog, k1
needle 2: Knit
needle 3: k1, k2tog tbl, knit to end
Repeat these two rounds until there are 10 (11, 12) stitches on needles 1 and 3; and a total of 40 (44, 48) stitches.
Foot
Knit all stitches on needle 1. You will now start all rounds on needle 2 (top of foot).
Work in stockinette stitch across top of foot and k1p1 rib across bottom of foot until piece measures 3 (3.5, 4) inches from heel or desired length.
Decrease for toes
Round 1: Top of foot (needle 2): k1, k2tog tbl, k to last 3 stitches, k2tog, k1
Bottom of foot (needle 3): k1, k2tog tbl, k to end of needle
Bottom of foot (needle 1): k to last 3 stitches, k2tog, k1
Round 2: knit
Repeat these 2 rounds until there are 10 (12, 14) stitches remaining on both top and bottom of foot. Knit one more round.
Finish with kitchener stitch. Weave in ends.
