Is feeling worthless keeping you from abundance?

Is there a connection between feeling worthless and lack of money? Personal opinion: yes, most definitely.

When you feel as if you have no worth (worthless), how can you possibly get and/or keep financial wealth (worth)? When you are constantly saying that you’re worthless, you are literally saying that you do not deserve financial abundance.

So, what do you do about it?

First of all, look at your past earning history. Even if you have never earned a high salary, you have proof right there that someone sees you as a person of value.

Second, collect and write down any compliments you have received. A compliment is someone telling you something they find worthy about you. By the way, when someone compliments you, the correct response is “Thank you.” Nothing more need be said.

Third, start an “I love myself because…” diary. Every day, write down at least three things you love about yourself. If you can’t think of anything that you love, think of something you like or even (if it’s really bad) don’t hate and write down “I love myself because ___________ ” (insert the thing here). It can be the tiniest thing – I was nice to someone today; I ate an apple instead of pie; my hair looks good today; anything. Start collecting the positives.

Fourth, find ways to learn new things. The more you know, the more value you have available to offer the world. Books, audiobooks, video learning, classes, read the dictionary to increase your vocabulary, or even just talk to someone who is knowledgeable about something you’re interested in. A starter list of resources is available here.

In short, start collecting proof of your value to combat feelings of worthlessness.
