What do you want?

I have long resisted actually writing down what it is that I want. When I write it down, it becomes real and I have to deal with why I have been too scared to pursue it. Recently, I enrolled in a course that involves a lot of journaling. One of the things I got super-clear on is that I want to make a living as a life coach. I’ve been resisting this for a very long time and using the “it’s unrealistic” excuse to hide behind when what I’ve really been is scared to put myself out there and fail. Up until now, I’ve been putting a half-hearted effort into the whole thing so that, when it hasn’t come to fruition (which it hasn’t, really), I’ve been able to just tell myself that if it was meant to be, then it would have happened and since it hasn’t happened I should just make a living as an accountant like my formal training and “common sense” dictates. LIES!!! My heart knows best and it wants what it wants. And what it wants is to serve people who, like me, are hiding behind what is practical instead of living the life we dream of having.

So, dear readers, what you will be seeing for a while is life coaching journaling prompts to help you explore your deepest desires and start designing your femme fatale, no-holds-barred, I-want-this-and-I-won’t-settle-for-less life. And, if you love this but want some guidance and accountability, I am available to help.

Our first prompt is to get clear on what it is you actually want. Not the “socially acceptable” or “realistic” version, but what you really, truly desire your life to be. How you want to feel. What kind of bank account you want. What you want your relationships and love life to be like. What you want your body to look like. So, here is your first question: What do you really, truly, deep in your heart and mind and body and soul WANT?
