This is one of my favorite questions. What am I here, in this time and in this place, to contribute?
Here’s my answer: I am here to love people as they are, unconditionally, while helping them to step into the person they truly are underneath all the stories. I am here to help women see themselves are worthy. I am here to shatter society’s expectations of what it means to be a woman – to be seen as feminine and intelligent and capable. I am a wife and mother, but that’s only part of my identity as a woman.
I offer support to women who want to know and express themselves fully and without reservation, especially when being who they know in their hearts that they are goes against how they’ve presented themselves to the world. I am a grounding presence when their genuine self bumps up against what others have come to expect from them and when it gets real and scary.
If you’re feeling stuck, look back at the times when you felt fully present and alive. What were you doing at the time? What is the commonality in all these situations? How are they alike? This is where we really start uncovering the genuine you – the you the world needs.
